Louise Colvin
Louise Colvin chairs the Strategy and Policy Committee of the Mvula Board. She is a founder member of the National Rural Development Forum, which aims to ensure the rural voice in policy and strategy development. She has worked as a policy coordinator in a number of areas: water and sanitation, job creation, the National Public Works Programme (which was eventually adopted by the government), agriculture, land use and food security and housing. Colvin has been a member of various fora, in particular the Standing Committee of Water Supply and Sanitation (SCOWSAS), which brought together stakeholders to lay the policy and strategy framework for water and sanitation for the post apartheid government. She has also served on the SABC Board, worked in senior leadership positions at DWAF, the Land Bank as well as the Department of Environment and Tourism.
